Masking vs. Selection

I have used selection and refine edge for the entire composite image,
masked the shirt then manipulated it's color using the color wheel
to contrast the warm color in the background.

Using Selection and Masking tools on the butterfly composites.
Adjusted levels, saturation, and overlay a color burn on a second layer on the butterfly on the right to produce the hight contrast red. Embossed and outlined the text to enhance the above title from the background.
